Here is a very simple guide to help you level fishing. Check out the links for more specific info on good places to fish.

Apprentice 1-75 any fishing trainer

Journeyman 50-150 any fishing trainer

Expert 125-225 buy the book <Expert Fishing- The Bass and You> from Old Man Heming in Booty Bay.

Artisan 225-300 Quest reward for "Nat Pagle - Angler Extreme" which starts in Org by fishing trainer.

Master 275-375 buy the book <Master Fisher- The Art of Angling> from Juno Duffrain in Cenarion Refuge

To level in fishing, it doesn't matter what type of fish you catch, only that you catch one. I don't think specialty fish which are used for alchemy or something count for your fishing level.

level 1-75 - catch 1 fish/level
75-145 - 2 fish/level
145-190 - 3 fish/level
190-225 - 4 fish/level
225- 265 - 5 fish/level
265-300- 6 fish/level
300-340 - 10.5fish/level
340-375 - 11.5 fish/level

I did this yesterday, had no issues getting those four "rare" fish at all. I think I got all four on the first throw each time, was disturbingly easy. The add-on Carbonite told me right where to be each time.

Youre right mana I don't know what I was thinking the day I posted the AH buy thing was for cooking. I knew that just apparently in my brain they ran hand in hand was thinking for the giant eggs n stuff.

Can see how giant eggs confused me with fishing........ok I can't but was the cooking quest I meant to suggest one stops at AH.

Thanks for the guide. I do fishing as my hobby. At the beginning I couldn’t catch any but now I do but I’m capable of catching small fish only.
